If you wish to join our Yahoo! Group you may find the following useful...
The easiest way to join is to click "Join this group" on the above linked page. If you do not have a Yahoo account (you will know if you do - you will already be using it for other Yahoo Groups, Yahoo Messenger or Yahoo Mail) you will need to set one up...
1. Click on "Sign up now".
2. Choose a name for yourself - this will appear on messages that you send so decide whether you want it to be a nickname or your real name etc. and add some numbers to make it unique, since there is probably someone else out there with the same (nick)name as yours!
3. Choose a memorable password for your new identity. Include a number to make it secure.
4. I would recommend that you DO NOT tick the box for a new Yahoo email account. It is better in my opinion to have messages sent to your existing email account if you have one since it means that you don't have to make a special effort to check a new account for messages. The box is ticked by default so click it to "untick" it!
5. Enter your personal details. Where it asks for an "alternate email" enter your existing email address. Unless you want a lot of adverts, do not tick for any of the "interests".
6. Click SUBMIT.
7. Read and accept the Terms of Service (if you don't you can't go any further!)
You will receive an email at your usual email address (or Yahoo address if you chose to have one) with a "link" in it. You need to click on that link to verify your email address (to confirm that Yahoo have it correct!)
You will now be able to send and receive messages from the group. To send a message to the group address it to penwithsustainability@yahoogroups.com and make sure that you send it from the address that you registered with Yahoo. Messages sent from addresses not registered will be returned to the sender and not delivered.
You will receive messages either individually or in a "daily digest" with all of the previous day's messages bundled together into one message. This can be easier to manage if there are a quite a few each day! You can change this whenever you wish in "Edit My Membership"
